Legal and contact

This English version is a translation for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

Castgigs stores content that creators and companies post themselves – for example profiles, photos, company details and messages. Under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, “DSA”), this page explains how to reach us, how to report content and what happens next.

Contact for users and everyone else (Art. 12 DSA)

You can reach our single point of contact directly and electronically, and you choose how:

A person, not a program, reads and answers every message – usually within two working days. You can write to us in German or English.

Point of contact for authorities (Art. 11 DSA)

Authorities of the EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services can reach our single point of contact electronically at kontakt@castgigs.com. Please put “DSA – Authority” in the subject line. Languages: German and English. Our postal address is in the legal notice.

Report content (Art. 16 DSA)

Have you found content on Castgigs that you believe is illegal or breaches our terms of use? Report it to us. Anyone can report, even without an account.

Report content

You can also send your report by email to kontakt@castgigs.com. Please give the same details as in the form: where the content is, why it is illegal or not allowed, your name and email address, and that your information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. We confirm receipt by email and review the report like one sent with the form.

You can report child sexual abuse without giving your name or email address: Report without your name.

If there is an immediate danger to life or limb, please call the emergency number 112 straight away.

What happens after your report

  1. After you send the form, you immediately see a report number. If you gave an email address, we also confirm receipt by email.
  2. A person reviews your report promptly, carefully and impartially. If necessary, we ask you for more information.
  3. Depending on the outcome, we leave the content in place, remove it, restrict its visibility or restrict features or the account.
  4. We tell you our decision by email – with our reasons and how you can challenge it. If we restrict content or an account, the person concerned also receives a statement of reasons.
  5. We do not give your name or email address to the person concerned – unless it is strictly necessary for the decision, for example because only the holder of a right can assert it. In that case, we tell you beforehand.
  6. We do not use automated means to review or decide. An automatic spam filter only pre-sorts incoming reports.
  7. If there is a suspicion of a criminal offence that threatens someone’s life or safety, we inform the competent authorities (Art. 18 DSA).

If you disagree

If you disagree with our decision – as the person who reported or as the person concerned – you can appeal free of charge within six months: email kontakt@castgigs.com (replying to our email is enough) with the report number (for a report sent by email, with its date) and a short explanation. A person looks at the case again and replies to you. In addition, you can

  • turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (Art. 21 DSA; the list is kept by the European Commission),
  • lodge a complaint with the Digital Services Coordinator of your country (Art. 53 DSA; in Germany the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), in Austria KommAustria),
  • go to court.
